✅ 2. Eligibility Criteria

Grade Eligibility
Junior 8th Standard Pass
Senior Passed Junior Grade in the same language
High Speed Passed Senior Grade in the same language

📋 3. How to Apply (Step-by-Step)

Step 1: Go to the Official Portal

Step 2: Candidate Registration

  • Select “Private Candidate” (if applying on your own)

  • Fill in:

    • Name, DOB, Mobile, Email

    • Address, Qualification, Grade & Language (English/Tamil)

Step 3: Upload Documents

  • Recent Passport Size Photo

  • Signature

  • ID Proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID, etc.)

  • Previous Marksheet (if Senior/High Speed)

Step 4: Payment of Fees

Application Form Fee ₹30 (all candidates)

Pay via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

Step 5: Submit & Print

  • Submit the form

  • Save/print Application ID and payment receipt


🧾 4. Exam Pattern

High Speed 5 mins (4 passages) 60+ wpm Only one paper
  • Paper I: Speed test (Copy typing)

  • Paper II: Formatting (Business letters, statements, etc.)


🎯 5. Marks & Pass Criteria

Total 200 80 (Min 40 in each paper)

📌 Must pass both papers individually to qualify.


🏅 6. Result & Certificate

  • Results released ~2 months after exam on the portal

  • If passed, a Provisional Certificate is downloadable

  • Original Certificate will be sent through respective institute or exam centre (or post for private candidates)


🛑 7. Important Rules

  • Typewriting machine must be brought by candidate

  • Hall Ticket and valid ID proof mandatory on exam day

  • No correction fluid allowed

  • Malpractice leads to disqualification
