TNPSC CCSE II (Group 2 & 2A) Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: (As on 23.02.2022)

Applicants should possess the following or its equivalent qualification awarded by any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission. [According to G.O. (Ms) No.139, Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Per.M) Department, dated 07.10.2009 (Refer Annexure-V). The applicants who possess the Professional Degree are eligible to this recruitment except for the posts of Assistant Section Officer in Law Department in Secretariat and Assistant Section Officer in Finance Department in Secretariat and Junior Cooperative Auditor in Cooperative Audit Department]

1. Junior Employment Officer (Non-Differently Abled) in Employment and Training Department (Employment Wing)

Educational qualification: A degree in Arts or Science or Commerce or B.O.L., of Annamalai University or B.B.A., of Madurai Kamarajar University or B.Litt., of Madras University or B.B.M., or B.Litt., of Bharathiyar University

2. Probation Officer in the Department of Prisons and Correctional Services:

Educational Qualification: A degree of B.A., or B.Sc., or B.Com., or B.O.L., of Annamalai University or B.B.A., of Madurai Kamarajar University or B.Litt., of Madras University or B.B.M., or B.Litt., of Bharathiyar University

Preferential Qualification: Provided that other things being equal preference shall be given to persons i) Who possess M.A., Degree in Criminology or Sociology or a Degree in Sociology or Psychology or ii) Who holds a Diploma in Sociology or Psychology in addition to a Degree in any subject other than Sociology or Psychology or iii) Who has rendered Social Welfare Work for a period of not less than one year or iv) Who possess a Diploma in Social Work awarded by the Madras School of Social Work

3. Assistant Inspector of Labour in Labour Department

Educational Qualification: A degree in Arts or Science or Commerce or Engineering or B.O.L., of Annamalai University or B.B.A., of Madurai Kamarajar University or B.Lit., of Madras University or B.B.M., or B. Litt., of Bharathiyar University

Preferential Qualification: Provided that other things being equal preference shall be given to candidates (i) Who possess the M.A., Degree in Social Work or (ii) Who possess the Diploma awarded by the Madras School of Social Work. or (iii) Who possess the M.A., Degree in Applied Psychology of the Sagar University. or (iv) Who has undergone the Diploma Course of 2 years duration of the Institute for Labour Welfare Workers, Bombay (or) The Xavier Labour Relation Institute, Bihar or (v)Who has undergone the diploma course of PSG School of Social Work, Coimbatore on Labour Specialisation or the Post Graduate Diploma Course in Social Services conducted by the Institute of Social Science, Loyola College, Madras under the direction of the Indian Institute of Social Order, Pune. or (vi) Who possess the Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) of the University of Baroda. or (vii) Who possess a Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Administration awarded by the Tamil Nadu Institute of Labour Studies. or (viii) Who possess a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations and Labour Welfare awarded by the Madras Productivity Council. or (ix) Who possess a P.G. Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations, conducted by the Madurai Institute of Social Work, Madurai. or (x) Who possess a M.A., Degree in work Education awarded by the University of Madras. or (xi) Who are released Short Service, Regular Commissioned Officers or Emergency Commissioned Officers or Other ExServicemen.

4. Sub-Registrar, Grade-II in Registration Department

Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree of any University or Institution recognised by the UGC for the purpose of its Grant.

Preferential Qualification: Provided that other things being equal preference will be given to persons who possess a B.L. degree in addition to the qualification specified.

5. Junior Employment Officer (Differently Abled) in Employment and Training Department (Employment Wing)

Educational Qualification: a) A degree in Arts or Science or Commerce or B.O.L., of Annamalai University or B.B.A., of Madurai Kamarajar University or B.Lit., of Madras University or B.B.M., or B.Litt., of Bharathiyar University b) Differently Abled persons whose physical disability shall not be less than 40%. Differently Abled person who applies for appointment to the post of Junior Employment Officer-Differently Abled should produce at the time of certificate verification, a Medical Certificate obtained from a Medical Officer of the rank not lower than that of the Civil Assistant Surgeon showing the nature and degree of his Physical impairment.

6. Special Assistant in the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Department

Educational Qualification: Any Degree and

Technical Qualification: Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting both by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English

7. Special Branch Assistant in Intelligence Section of the Police Department

Educational Qualification: Any Degree and

Technical Qualification: Persons appointed should pass the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting by Higher / Senior Grade within a period of two years from the date of his/her appointment unless he/she has already passed the said examination.

Preferential Qualification: Preference will be given to those who have passed Government Technical Examination in Typewriting and Shorthand atleast by Lower / Junior Grade.

Special Branch Assistant in Criminal Investigation Department

Educational Qualification: Any Degree and

Technical Qualification: Persons appointed should pass the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting by Higher / Senior Grade within a period of two years from the date of his / her appointment unless he / she has already passed the said examination.

Preferential Qualification: Preference will be given to those who have passed Government Technical Examination in Typewriting and Shorthand atleast by Lower / Junior Grade.

9. Municipal Commissioner, Grade-II in Municipal Administration Department

Educational Qualification: A Degree of any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission

10. Assistant Section Officer in Secretariat (Other than Law and Finance Department)

Educational Qualification: (i) A Master’s Degree; or (ii) A Bachelor’s Degree and a B.G.L Degree; or (iii) A Bachelor’s Degree with First Class in any one of the parts. Provided that in the case of a candidate belonging to SC, SC(A), ST, MBC/DC, BC (Other than BCM) and BCM it shall be sufficient if he / she holds a Bachelor’s Degree.

11. Assistant Section Officer in Secretariat (Law Department)

Educational Qualification: B.L., Degree awarded by any University recognised by the University Grants Commission.

12. Assistant Section Officer in Secretariat (Finance Department)

Educational Qualification: A Master’s Degree in Commerce or Economics or Statistics or A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Economics or Statistics with a pass in the final examination of the ICWAI.

13. Assistant Section Officer in Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission

Educational Qualification: (i) A Master’s Degree; or (ii) A Bachelor’s Degree and a BGL Degree; or (iii) A Bachelor’s Degree with First Class in any one of the parts. Provided that in the case of a candidate belonging to SC, SC(A), ST, MBC/DC, BC (Other than BCM) and BCM it shall be sufficient if he / she holds a Bachelor’s Degree.

14. Full Time Residential Warden (Men’s Hostel) in Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Chennai

Educational Qualification: i) A Bachelor’s Degree of any University recognised by the University Grants Commission. ii) Must be an Ex-serviceman who has worked in the Army in the rank of Junior Commissioned Officer.

15. Senior Inspector of Co-operative Societies in Department of Co-operative Societies.

Educational Qualification: a) A Degree of any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be Deemed as University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956. or b) A Diploma in Rural Services awarded by the National Council of Rural Higher Education. or c) A Diploma of Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Preferential Qualification: Provided that other things being equal, preference shall be given to the candidates possessing such qualification and in such order as specified below: i) M.A., Degree in Co-operation; or ii) M.Com., Degree with Cooperation as one of the subjects; or iii) B.A., Degree in Co-operation; or iv) Higher Diploma in Cooperative Management awarded by the Natesan Institute of Co-operative Management, Madras; or Institute of Co-operative Management, Madurai. v) Diploma in Cooperative Business Management awarded by the Vaikunta Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management, Pune.

16. Audit Inspector in the Audit Wing of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department

Educational Qualification: A Degree of B.A., or B.Sc., or B.Com., or B.O.L., of Annamalai University or B.B.A., of Madurai Kamarajar University or B.Lit., of Madras University or B.B.M., or B.Litt., of Bharathiyar University Note: Persons professing Hindu Religion alone are eligible to apply for this post.

17. Assistant Inspector in Local Fund Audit Department

Educational Qualification: A Degree of B.A., or B.Sc., or B.Com., or B.O.L., of Annamalai University or B.B.A., of Madurai Kamarajar University or B.Litt., of Madras University or B.B.M., or B.Litt., of Bharathiyar University

18. Supervisor / Junior Superintendent in Agricultural Marketing and Agri Business Department

Educational Qualification: Any Degree

Preferential Qualification: Provided that other things being equal preference shall be given to persons who have passed the Government Technical Examinations in Book-Keeping by Higher / Senior Grade.

19. Handloom Inspector in Handlooms and Textiles Department

Educational Qualification: i) Degree in B.A., or B.Sc., or B.Com., of any University recognised by the University Grants Commission ii) A Diploma in Handloom Technology or Textile Technology or Textile Processing or Manmade Fibre Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training in Tamil Nadu

20. Revenue Assistant in the Revenue Department in various Revenue Units

Educational Qualification: A Degree from any University recognised by the University Grants Commission

21. (i) Personal Clerk in Secretariat (other than Law and Finance Department)

(ii) Personal Clerk in Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission

(iii) Steno-Typist in Secretariat (Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly)

Educational Qualification: Any Bachelor’s Degree

Technical Qualification: (i) Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting:- both by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English and (ii) Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Shorthand:- both by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English Provided that if candidates with the qualifications referred to in items (i) and (ii) above are not available, candidates who have passed the following examinations in the order of preference indicated below will be considered for selection namely: – a. Government Technical Examination in Typewriting and Shorthand in Tamil both by the Higher / Senior Grade and Typewriting and Shorthand in English both by the Lower / Junior Grade. b. Government Technical Examination in Typewriting and Shorthand in English both by the Higher / Senior Grade and Typewriting and Shorthand in Tamil both by the Lower / Junior Grade. (iii) Certificate course in Computer on Office Automation awarded by the Technical Education Department.

Note: Candidates who do not possess the qualification in “Computer on Office Automation” conducted by the Technical Education Department may also apply. If selected they should acquire such qualification within the period of their probation.

Technical Qualification: (i) Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting:- both by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English and (ii) Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Shorthand:- both by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English Provided that if candidates with the qualifications referred to in items (i) and (ii) above are not available, candidates who have passed the following examinations in the order of preference indicated below will be considered for selection namely: – a. Government Technical Examination in Typewriting and Shorthand in Tamil both by the Higher / Senior Grade and Typewriting and Shorthand in English both by the Lower / Junior Grade. b. Note: (i) The educational qualifications prescribed for these posts should have been obtained by passing the required qualification in the following order of studies viz. 10th + HSC/Diploma or its equivalent + U.G. AGE CONCESSION:

(i) For Persons with Benchmark Disability (“Others”) : Persons with Benchmark Disability are eligible for age concession upto 10 years over and above the maximum age limit prescribed. (Section 64 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016)

(ii) For Ex-Servicemen (“Others”) :

  1. a) The Maximum age limit for Ex-Servicemen is 50 years. (Section 63 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016 and as per G.O (Ms) No.91, Human Resources Management (S) Department, dated 13.09.2021).
  2. b) The above mentioned age concession will not apply to the Ex-Servicemen applicants who have already been recruited to any class or service or category. (Section 3(j) of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016).

Explanation: No Maximum age limit shall mean that the applicants should not have completed 60 years of age either on the date of notification or at the time of selection / appointment to the post.

Application Fee/Exam Fee for TNPSC CCSE II (Group 2 & 2A): 

a. Registration Fee:

For One Time Registration (Revised with effect from 01.03.2017 vide G.O. (Ms) No.32, Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, dated 01.03.2017)

Note: Applicants who have already registered in One Time Online Registration System and within the validity period of 5 years are exempted.

b. Preliminary Examination:

The Preliminary Examination Fee should be paid at the time of submitting the online application for this recruitment unless exemption of fee is claimed.

c Main Written Examination:

The Main Written Examination Fee should be paid only by those applicants admitted to the Main Written Examination based on the result of Preliminary Examination on receipt of intimation through SMS and E-mail from the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission unless exemption of fee is claimed.

Note:

(i) Linking Aadhaar number with One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory for applicants. [For further details refer para 2B of ‘Instructions to Applicants’]

(ii) One Time Registration is valid for five years from the date of registration. After completion of five years, the applicant must renew the One Time Registration by paying the fee prescribed. An applicant should make an online application separately for each and every examination for which he intends to appear. [Refer para 2C of ‘Instructions to Applicants’]

(iii) Applicants who had already registered under One-Time Registration system by paying Rs.50/- before 01.03.2017 and having validity and those who have registered for One-Time Registration on or after 01.03.2017 by paying Rs.150/- towards OneTime Registration are exempted from paying the registration fee for this recruitment.

Note:

(i) The total number of free chances availed, will be calculated on the basis of claims made in previous applications.

(ii) The number of free chances availed by the applicant may be verified by the Commission at any stage of the selection process.

(iii) In case an applicant who makes a false claim for exemption from payment of application fee by suppressing information regarding his previous application(s) his candidature shall be rejected after due process and he shall be debarred for a period of one year from appearing for examinations and selections conducted by the Commission.

(iv) Applicants are directed to carefully choose the options ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ regarding availing the fee concession. The choice made, cannot be modified or edited after successful submission of online application.

(v) Applicants are advised in their own interest, to keep an account of the number of times fee concession has been availed, irrespective of the information displayed in the <Application History> of the applicant dashboard.

(vi) An application (irrespective of the post applied for) claiming fee concession will operate to exclude one chance from the number of free chances
